Forest Minister Ganesh Naik held a press conference at Mantralaya to address the alarming rise in tiger and leopard attacks across Maharashtra. During the press meet, Ganesh Naik emphasized the importance of creating sustainable habitats and providing food within forests to deter animals from seeking resources elsewhere. Ganesh Naik announced that the government would develop and enhance tiger and leopard habitats, ensuring they remain within forested areas. To address the increasing leopard population, the state government is preparing a proposal for sterilization. Ganesh Naik also emphasized the need to study and implement global best practices for managing forest fires effectively.
