Following a leopard attack on citizens in the Pardi Shivram area of Nagpur, Forest Minister Ganesh Naik stated that the animal has been safely captured by the Nagpur Forest Department’s Transit Treatment Centre rescue team. After visiting the injured victims at Shri Bhavani Multispeciality Hospital,Ganesh Naik said the government will deploy AI-based public alert systems, use drones for wildlife operations, strengthen forest department resources, and ensure safe relocation of leopards to forest areas. He also announced rewards for brave forest staff and confirmed that the forest department will bear the full cost of medical treatment for the injured.
