Former corporator Prakash More has organised the Vashicha Ekdant festival through Maharashtra Mitra Mandal at MG Complex Vashi. Senior journalist Ankush Vaiti founded Shiv Chaya Mitra Mandal has been organising Ganpati Utsav for the last several years at Turbhe. Former corporator Sampat Shewale has also been organising Navsala Pavnara Maharaja Ganesh Utsav at sector 17, Vashi.
