Former Minister & Airoli MLA Ganesh Naik and Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Opposition Leader Devendra Fadnavis joined Mangrovethon held at Airoli's Coastal & Marine Biodiversity Centre. A marathon only for women; it was organised by Inner Wheel & Mangrove Foundation. Ganesh Naik said "Such initiatives are crucial and worth-appreciating as they set a trend of citizen participation & awareness about mangrove conservation." Amruta Fadnavis said, "Women have become ambassadors for mangrove conservation."
