Former Minister & Airoli MLA Ganesh Naik raised the issue of tenders being issued in NMMC to the tunes of hundreds of Crores and in most cases the works were not even required. Making a direct attack on the Maha Vikas Aghadi, particularly Shiv Sena influenced NMMC, Ganesh Naik said that the NMMC Commissioner Abhijit Bangar too is helpless as he gets calls from Mantralaya to execute these "not needed" works. Ganesh Naik has demanded an enquiry against the work being issued in NMMC and also to probe the Mantralaya angle of corruption.
