Former Minister & Airoli MLA Ganesh Naik addressed the Maharashtra state budget session today, raising some significant issues of Navi Mumbai. One of the top issues included the sale of plots by MIDC which it had handed over to NMMC for public welfare projects. Taking an aggressive stand, Ganesh Naik said that MIDC was blatantly selling public plots and demanded that it transfers back these plots to NMMC. He also raised concern over the increasing air pollution in the city along with lack of power supply in several nodes of Navi Mumbai.
