Former Minister & Airoli MLA Ganesh Naik held his 56th meeting with NMMC Commissioner Abhijit Bangar where several important civic issues like speeding up of pre-monsoon work, preparing schools in terms of sanitization and maintenance prior to re-opening were discussed. 1. Speeding up pre-monsoon work: Anticipating that monsoons will begin by end of May, Ganesh Naik asked NMMC Commissioner to speed up the pre-monsoon work. He also addressed other civic issues including initiating sanitization of schools, cleaning of water tanks etc. 2. Issue of landslides & cleaning nullahs: The former minister also raised the issue of landslides that pose life threat to several huts located at hilly areas and asked the commissioner to address this concern. He also implored the commissioner to take on priority cleaning of nullahs to avoid flood-like situation in the city.
