Vashi's Sector 17 is known as one of the posh sectors of the node with a lot of elderly living here. The senior citizens often have to visit many government offices for making making different cards. In order to make it all these services available under one roof, BJP's former senior corporator Sampat Shewale organised a card distribution camp for residents of Panel 26. Former Minister and Airoli MLA Ganesh Naik showered praise on Sampat Shewale and credited him for changing the face of Sector 17, Vashi. While residents also praised him.
