Popular daily newspaper Mid-day has conferred former Minister & Airoli MLA Ganesh Naik with the “Maharashtra Gaurav Award - Iconic Humanitarian & People's Leader.” In its report earlier, Mid-day lauded the Extraordinary efforts during COVID Pandemic by Ganesh Naik, calling him the 'Guardian' of Navi Mumbai. The award was conferred on Ganesh Naik at the hands of Maharashtra Governor Hon’ Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Amruta Fadnavis among others in a ceremony at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai.
