Jan Akrosh rally saves 390 Trees, 400 Crores of public taxes as Kopri-Arenja Corner bridge scrapped!

NMMC, in its Uddhav Thackeray government led administrative rule, had initiated a proposal to build a 3km bridge from Arenja Corner to Kopri Signal, at a whopping cost of Rs 350 crores for which it was also going to destroy 390 trees.

Former Minister & Airoli MLA Ganesh Naik led a long 'Jan Akrosh' march against this proposal which was a threat to environment. Navi Mumbai BJP President Sandeep Naik along with scores of party workers, environmentalists and nature lovers were a part of this massive rally.

The efforts paid off as now the proposal has been canceled.
