Maha Budget Session: Ganesh Naik's gets in principle approval for including 14 villages in NMMC area

Following up on one of his demands; former Minister & Airoli MLA Ganesh Naik got the State Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde to announce re-inclusion of 14 villages in the jurisdiction of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation. Ganesh Naik was speaking on a calling attention motion in the Assembly and debated that the 14 villages of Dahisar, Dahisar Mori, Nighu, Mokashi Pada, Pimpri, Ghoteghar, Bambali, Uttarshiv, Bhandarli, Uttarshiv, Nagaon, Narivali, Vakalan and Bale have long been suffering without any basic amenities. Ganesh Naik advised on how Rs 6,100 crore that will be required to develop infrastructure in the villages and another Rs 511 crore for providing basic amenities can be mobilised for development of 14 villages. Eknath Shinde said that he they would incorporate 14 villages in NMMC and will ask the Municipal Commissioner of NMMC to plan the legal and further course of action to execute this.
