Maha Monsoon Session: Strict monitoring and action against illegal hill dumping assured by Forest Minister Ganesh Naik
During the 2025 Monsoon Session of the Maharashtra Legislature, Shivajinagar MLA Shri Siddharth Shirole raised a concern regarding the illegal dumping of debris on Pune’s hill slopes.
Responding to the issue, Forest Minister Ganesh Naik assured that strict and coordinated action will be implemented. Officials from the Revenue, Police, and Forest Departments will be stationed at key hill access points to maintain round-the-clock vigilance. CCTV surveillance will be installed for continuous monitoring. Ganesh Naik also acknowledged the urgent need to set up a dedicated debris disposal center to address the problem in a long-term and sustainable manner.
