One of the most fiery meetings of former Minister and Airoli MLA Ganesh Naik took place today at NMMC where Ganesh Naik lambasted NMMC for letting “outsiders” loot NMMC treasury. Also present with him was Airoli’s first MLA Sandeep Naik. 1. Several crucial issues of Navi Mumbai was taken up during this time where Ganesh Naik demanded that the tenders for Kopri to Arenja Corner Rs 350 Crores bridge and making a Biogas and Bio CNG plants be cancelled with immediate effect. 2. He demanded cancellation of the proposal of cutting down 2500 trees to make way of converting service road into plots for commercial sale in MIDC. 3. He also demanded cancellation of proposed beautification plan of Shivaji Chowk, Vashi. 4. In his interaction with the media Ganesh Naik said, “We will do jan andolan on June 5 against NMMC. Our protest march will begin from Ambedkar Bhavan in Airoli and end at Shivaji Chowk, Vashi.”
